Destination: the Puy de D\u00f4me, an iconic (and thankfully dormant) volcano in the Cha\u00eene des Puys near Clermont\u2011Ferrand in Auvergne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rising to 1,465 metres, this Grand Site de France, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers a 360\u00b0 panorama over more than 80 volcanoes. Not bad at all.
