On Saturday morning, May 2, the Terrapins organized a surprise celebration for one of our founding members who is leaving us for the big city. After a mountain hike (because a Terrapin never has a meal without earning it), everyone gathered for a surprise brunch.

With Beatles music playing in the background, the group enjoyed a delicious buffet — thank you Silke, Gilles, and Ulrich — complete with a Terrapin cake, because no proper celebration can happen without our mascot in icing.

A Terrapins kit was then presented to our Terrapin of honour, so he can think of us before his runs (coffee mug), during his runs (bandana/tuque), and after his runs (water bottle)… whether he is running through Montréal in winter or summer.

Finally, Sylvain assured us that he will immediately get to work on creating a Terrapin branch in Montréal. We are counting on him — and we fully intend to check in. Best of luck in your new adventures, Sylvain. You will be dearly missed.
